OG:Network - Official Rules

No hacking
All forms of hacks are not allowed. Any client capable of hacking is not allowed. Please refer to the Allowed Modifications section.

We discourage any form of alternative clicking method (butterfly, drag clicking, etc). There is a possibility of being banned by the anticheat.

Macro software is also considered a form of cheating and will be banned as such.

No Bug Abuse or Unapproved Mods
Bug Abuse is the usage of Minecraft or server bugs to exploit to your advantage.

- Minor Bug Abuse

• Abusing bugs that are minor or give little advantage:
• Pearling through gates/doors. These will be punished on a case-by-case basis, depending on the severity.

- Bug Abuse

• Abusing bugs that gives you a significant advantage or disrupts the gameplay.

No inappropriate Skins, Names, Builds
- Skins cannot have any inappropriate depictions (nudity, swastikas, etc).
- Anything you cannot say in chat cannot be in a name. This includes player names, item names, pet names etc.
- Any building that depicts phallic or disrespectful images will be removed.

No Ban or Mute evading
Ban evading is using another account to circumvent your punishment. Mute evading will result in a ban if an IP mute, or extended punishment if a mute cannot stop the form of mute evasion being used. Evading a punishment can range from going on an alternate account, to using signs or items to avoid a mute.

No Harassment
Harassment is defined as "aggressive pressure or intimidation”. This will be punished on a case-by-case basis, depending on severity.

No "Noise Pollution"
Spamming blocks that create noise in protected areas is not allowed.

No boosting stats
You cannot boost your own stats by using another player or alt. This can be using other players to boost your events or ingame stats. This also goes for using alts.

No deliberate annoying of staff
This can result in a ban or a mute, depending on the context. TP-Trapping or killing staff members while asking for their help is also not allowed and will result in a ban.

No sending false reports or evidence
Do not send false information in a report or when providing evidence, such as spamming staff with false reports or providing fake evidence to get a player falsely punished.

No Stream Sniping
Do not attempt to stream snipe or purposely ruin games for streamers by targeting, following or giving items to streamers. This is only allowed if the streamer specifies that they would like to be targeted.

No Teaming (Survival Games)
The maximum amount of players in a team is 2. If more than two people are teaming or helping each other during a game, all players involved will be punished.

NOTE: Teaming in deathmatch is not allowed at all.

No Account Sharing
Do not share accounts with other players under any circumstances. One player should only use an account.




No spamming
All spam constitutes a verbal warning before a mute. If it is extremely excessive, the first punishment will be a mute.
The following constitutes as spam;
- 5+ identical or very similar messages in a short burst of time
- 7+ identical or very similar messages over a longer period of time
- 10+ of the same character, or just gibberish e.g. "oooooooooooooooooo" or "dhjgfhvghshfsdhv"
Note: Any hacked client spam is considered Hacking, and will be punished as such.

No Being Disrespectful
This is self-explanatory, just don’t be disrespectful. General saltiness is allowed, but hate speech is not allowed. All derogatory language, racism, excessive direct insulting of another player, or speech intended to offend a player, group, race, sexual orientation, gender etc., is not allowed. DDOS threats are considered disrespect. Disrespect does not require a warning, but this is at the discretion of the staff member.

We allow swearing and 'saltiness'. However, personal attacks and targeted harassment are unacceptable. This includes excessive insults, name-calling, and other forms of disrespectful behavior directed at specific individuals.

No advertising
Light advertising is:

- Asking players to join a competing server such as Complex via mentioning the server’s name in general conversation. This excludes servers like Hypixel, as they are not competitors and are of a level of notoriety that means they don't need advertising.
- Advertising YouTube or Twitch channels that do not contain OG Network content. This includes just telling players the name or posting the link.
- Discord links that are not the OG Network discord.
- Light advertising also excludes asking a competing player or faction to fight you on a practice server (Eg. let’s settle this dispute with a 5v5 on Velt)

Advertising is:

- Trying to recruit players to a competing server by giving out the IP.
- Any short link or link that doesn't go to a trusted website (YouTube, Instagram etc) - biturls for example. These may be IP grabbers, so don't click them!
- Directly and/or specifically advertising non OG Network content, websites, servers, etc. This can be "Join this server: [IP]" etc.

Media rank can advertise their channel, social media, videos & streams that are related to OG Network.

No Impersonation
Does what is says on the tin. Don’t impersonate staff, players, or Media.

No inappropriate chat
Do not use language that is inappropriate, vulgar, obscene. Any language deemed to be NSFW is also not allowed.



Hate Speech/Explicit Language and Media
Do not post explicit language, media (adult content), or messages that could offend a player or group based on their religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, etc. This includes intentional and accidental offenses.

Spamming
Do not spam, send wall texts, or flood chat on our Discord server, such as sending random messages to flood channels or sending large copy-paste messages. This rule also includes media.

Threats
Do not make threats or express wishes of harm towards any player or staff member, regardless of whether it is a joke. This applies to private messages as well.

Phishing, Scamming, and Doxxing
Do not attempt to trick other members into revealing personal information such as passwords, financial information, addresses, accounts, etc. Leaking anyone's private or personal information without their consent can result in a blacklist from the entire network. If this happens, please contact a staff member.

Impersonation
Do not pretend to be a staff member, content creator, or any other player. This is to ensure player safety and that players receive official information.

Advertising
Do not advertise other servers, server IPs, server websites, server stores, etc. Promoting social media accounts, Discord servers, YouTube videos, streams, goods, or services is also disallowed. Users with the Media rank may advertise their channel, social media accounts, videos, and streams related to OG-Network. Other users may advertise the same content in #clips-and-videos on Discord.

Controversial Discussions
Do not create drama regarding politics, religion, or other sensitive topics on our Discord server. Arguing with staff members about their punishment decisions also falls under this offense.

Inappropriate Names, Profile Pictures, and Statuses
Do not use inappropriate names, profile pictures, or statuses.

Irritating Voice Chat and Chat Behavior
Do not bother players in voice channels by using voice modifiers/changers, screaming, channel hopping, playing music to annoy others, etc. Do not misuse chat channels, such as chatting in #bug-reports. Read the descriptions, pins, and names of these channels. If unsure about a channel's use, ask a staff member.

Bypassing Punishments
Do not attempt to evade a ban, mute, or timeout, as this will result in a permanent punishment.

Discord's Terms of Service

Duping
Do not intentionally or unintentionally duplicate items, entities or others. If you happen to duplicate anything unintentionally, contact a staff member to prevent punishment. Duplication machines such as TNT Dupers and Carpet Dupers also go under this rule.

Lag Machines
Do not use or create any building/machine to lag out the server, crash or make the game unplayable for other players.

Chunk Loaders
Do not use any machine/method to load chunks while a player is not in them, as this causes an unnecessary amount of lag.

Use of Reputation System
Do not rep players for inappropriate reasons. All chat rules apply to custom reputation reasons.

Baritone / Automation Mods
The use of Baritone, auto clickers and other game modifications/software that allows you to automate your actions in-game is prohibited. Automation within the game (ex. minecarts) is permitted. However, any modifications/software made that can not be done in vanilla Minecraft is not allowed.

Bot mods, such as MineBot, are only allowed under specific circumstances. A bot can interact with private chat (/msg, /guild chat, /party chat). However, you may not have your bot send any messages in public chat. Furthermore, you cannot use a bot mod to move your player, interact with your inventory, right/left click or interact with the world in any way. Such accounts using these modifications will be banned without warning.

Stall Use
We offer players a safe place to sell and buy items from other players; however, abusing/exploiting this feature is not allowed. Do not store items that you are not currently selling and do not use your stall as a base/storage/casino, or keep it empty.

Disclaimer: You cannot store shulkers/other items in your sell chests. For example, you can't put diamonds in your wood-selling chest. --- Around 90-100% of your stall must be selling things.

Seed Use
Do not use the seed to find ores or caves. This rule aims to keep the gameplay fair, OG, and help with x-ray bans.



Swearing, Harassing and Bullying
Do not make posts or profile statuses that contain insults that aim to harass or bully. Making threads arguing with staff members' decisions on punishments and appeals also falls under this rule.

Spamming and Non-English Posts
Do not make unwanted or unnecessary posts repeatedly in a short period. Asking for free things, accounts, ranks, or other goods and services; or continuously asking for punishments to be removed when an appeal has already been denied all go under this offence. Furthermore, please only send messages and posts in English to better moderate chats.

Threats
Do not make any threats or wishes of harm towards any player or staff member, regardless if it is a joke. This rule also applies to private messages.

Do not pretend to be a staff member, content creator, or any other player. This ensures our player's safety and that players receive official information to prevent problems for them and us in the future.

Advertising
Do not advertise other Minecraft servers, streams, videos, and social media. Sharing video clips from other servers also goes under this rule (This rule does not count if the video comes with a suggestion). We allow our members to send short clips on the server to showcase a feature or show a moment but not to advertise.

Stats Farming
Do not ask for likes or farm messages to increase your forum stats. If a question has been answered already and you have nothing else to add to the previous questions, don't answer it.

Pointless or Controversial Discussions.
Please respect the original reason for a thread or post. Avoid having off-topic discussions and keep off-topic discussions to other threads. Additionally, controversial discussions are not allowed to be made in posts or profile statuses.

Inappropriate Profiles
Please keep your profile appropriate. This includes your profile name, profile picture, and signature.



Please note that all general rules from Section 4 - Survival Rules apply except for stall, rep, and seed-related rules.

Spawning Withers Near Claims
Spawning withers near another player's claim in an attempt to annoy or kill the player is considered griefing and is a bannable offence.

Land Claiming
Intentionally claiming land in an area where another player is building or claiming part of another player's active build is also considered griefing and is a bannable offence.
